This article would like to present a general view of the political situation of China in the period of 1920-30. Even though China has succeeded in establishing a republic through the revolution, she was still suffering from the civil wars and foreign powers invasion. It greatly affected the daily life of the people, and also, giving a great hindrance for Salesians, along with other missionaries, in their evangelization and educational endeavors. John Nguyen Van Ty – “Salesian charism in Vietnam. 39 years of sowing and growth in the stormy history of the country” in “Implantation of the Salesian charism in Asia – Ideals, challenges, answers, results”

How the Salesian Charism has been implanted and taken root in a country is indeed a very interesting and at the same time a very challenging theme. In the case of Viet Nam the planting and the growing processes seem to be neatly cut, surrounded by the turbulent events of the history of modern Viet Nam.

La fundación de las Hijas de María Auxiliadora en Colombia se realizó en 1897 por una gestión expresa da don Evasio Rabagliati para que se dedicaran a la educación, y junto con los SDB, se encargaran de la misión en el Lazareto de Contratación. Fue don Rabagliati el gran propulsor del trabajo en los Lazaretos en Colombia. El presente trabajo tiene como propósito estudiar el papel o rol desempeñado por Don Rua, ya sea como Vicario de Don Bosco ya sea como su primer Sucesor, durante el desarrollo de la Obra salesiana en el Ecuador. Para este estudio hemos acudido de un modo especial al Epistolario de Don Rua, tomando como fuente principal el DVD ROM “Documenti di don Rua”, elaborado por el Comitato di Studi Storici Don Rua 2010, más las cartas originales de Don Rua que reposan en el Archivo Histórico Inspectorial del Ecuador y otras fuentes anexas relativas como “Lettere Circolari di Don Michele Rua ai Salesiani” y otras fuentes señaladas en la bibliografía. Antonietta Papa,Fabrizio Fabrizi – “Un’identità conquistata in Palestina. Le Figlie di Maria Missionarie di Giacinto Bianchi tra l’opera di Antonio Belloni e l’arrivo dei salesiani 1890-1893”, in “Don Michele Rua primo successore di Don Bosco. Tratti di personalità, governo e opere (1888-1910)”.

Giacinto Bianchi nacque nel 1835 a Villa Pasquali, frazione di Sabbioneta, provincia di Mantova e diocesi di Cremona. Ordinato nel 1858, fu dapprima coadiutore in piccoli centri, dove la sua intraprendenza suscitò presto le ostilità laiciste. Una delle principali sollecitudini di don Bianchi fu l’educazione cristiana della gioventù, che ancora oggi è parte integrante del carisma del suo Istituto. The Salesians landed in Macao on 13 February 1906 to take over the management of a diocesan orphanage and set up a school of arts and crafts, with the aim of expanding gradually into China proper, which they first did in 1911, shortly after the Portuguese republican revolution forced the them out of the enclave.
