This paper, which investigates the first thirty years of the history of the Thai FMA Province of “St Mary Mazzarello” through the lived experience of is members from the first batch of missionaries who came to Siam in 1931 to the 14th group in 1961, takes on added significance in the context of the celebration of the 75 years of FMA presence in Thailand two years ago and our present project of completing the chronicles of the Province.

La fundación de las Hijas de María Auxiliadora en Colombia se realizó en 1897 por una gestión expresa da don Evasio Rabagliati para que se dedicaran a la educación, y junto con los SDB, se encargaran de la misión en el Lazareto de Contratación. Fue don Rabagliati el gran propulsor del trabajo en los Lazaretos en Colombia. Claudia Daretti – “Don Rua e le Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice dell’Ispettoria Romana”, in “Don Michele Rua primo successore di Don Bosco. Tratti di personalità, governo e opere (1888-1910)”.

Don Michele Rua fu il fedelissimo discepolo che fin dall’inizio raccolse l’eredità spirituale di don Bosco, lo aiutò nell’attività con piena dedizione e con immenso affetto e, divenuto il suo successore, consolidò l’opera del suo grande maestro. Si può veramente affermare che don Bosco continuava a vivere e a lavorare in don Rua e con don Rua. Per tali motivi, fu sempre amato e stimato dai salesiani, dai giovani e dalle Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice (FMA).
