La Escuela Normal Superior (ENS), es una institución formadora de maestros, ubicada en el Área Metropolitana de Medellín (Antioquia-Colombia), zona densamente poblada y con fuertes contrastes entre ricos y pobres. Estos últimos, en su gran mayoría, llegaron huyendo de la violencia o buscando mejores condiciones de vida. Esta situación ha propiciado el aumento de niños y jóvenes en situación de riesgo, a los cuales el Estado no siempre les puede garantizar el derecho a la educación con calidad. Ivan Andreis,Luca Peyron – Learning by service e learning by doing: nuove frontiere di pastorale giovanile ed universitaria
La prassi nasce all’interno della pastorale universitaria dell’Arcidiocesi di Torino in sinergia con la Caritas Diocesana, le istituzioni accademiche del territorio civili e religiose, le istituzioni politiche (Città Metropolitana) e il Centro Servizi per il volontariato. La finalità dell’azione è molteplice ed ha diversi piani: da un lato l’educazione dei giovani attraverso il contatto diretto con la fragilità variamente declinata ed incontrata, dall’altro l’implementazione negli enti che per missione stanno accanto alla fragilità delle competenze e della capacità innovativa dei giovani studenti universitari. Ulteriori finalità e motivazioni sono il dialogo e la collaborazione con le istituzioni coinvolte creando così un clima di fiducia reciproca e collaborazione foriero di nuove possibilità di azione pastorale. Massimo Schwarzel – Il modello formativo salesiano delle origini nella “Cronichetta” di don Giulio Barberis
Don Giulio Barberis (1847-1927), primo maestro dei novizi della Società Salesiana, ci ha lasciato un’importante testimonianza su Don Bosco e sulla vita dell’oratorio di Valdocco nei quindici quaderni della sua “Cronichetta”. In essa riporta le attività dell’oratorio, detti e fatti della vita di Don Bosco e alcune riflessioni dal 1875 al 1879. Da ciò emerge chiaramente quello che era l’ambiente formativo di Valdocco in quegli anni, la sua struttura organizzativa e le strategie educative, i punti di forza e quelli più deboli, con il continuo lavoro di Don Bosco e dei primi salesiani per rendere sempre più efficace l’opera a favore della gioventù, alla cui forte espansione in Italia e all’estero stavano assistendo (è proprio del 1875 la prima spedizione missionaria in Argentina).
