Questo numero dei QSS intende offrire alcuni contributi di stimolo e di sussidio per accompagnare la riflessione personale di ciascuno in quella ricerca di chiarificazione e di approfondimento che precede ogni tentativo di rinnovamento e di applicazione che non voglia restare superficiale ed inefficace. Questo quaderno è dedicato a ciò che oggi si usa chiamare «memoria», cioè l’approccio storico. La «memoria» è preparazione e riferimento fondamentale per una corretta applicazione all’oggi.

Nella prospettiva di fondo accennata il CG22 ha risposto a una duplice preoccupazione espressa anche dai Capitoli ispettoriali: di manifestare che la nostra preghiera è allo stesso tempo profondamente ecclesiale, rispondente alle esigenze del rinnovamento liturgico promosso dal Vatricano II, e tipicamente salesiana, in sintonia con la nostra specifica missione nella Chiesa” (// progetto di vita dei Salesiani di Don Bosco, Roma, Ed. SDB, 1986, p. 611).

Salvatore Cirillo Dama – “Cuarenta y cinco dias a orillas del rio Azopardo” in “Ricerche Storiche Salesiane”

En el museo salesiano “Maggiorino Borgatello” de Punta Arenas cayó bajo mis manos un manuscrito dactilografiado en que no se mencionaba el autor con el título “Cuarenta y cinco días a orillas del rio Azopardo” posteriormente pude averiguar que fue escrito por el padre Lorenzo Massa y el contenido corresponde a un relato testimonial del padre Luis Carnino a la época, director de la misión salesiana San Rafael de la isla Dawson (1889-1911), el mismo Carnino encabezó una expedición al occidente de Tierra del Fuego, proyecto ideado y organizado por Mons. José Fagnano sdb, Prefecto Apostólico de la Patagonia meridional, Tierra del Fuego e Islas Malvinas (1883-1916).
