Dal 31 dicembre 1973 al 5 gennaio 1974 si è svolto a Roma un incontro di studiosi e di
operatori nel campo giovanile, fattivamente interessati al « sistema preventivo » di Don
Bosco. Sono intervenuti pedagogisti e educatori provenienti da quasi tutti i Paesi europei,
con la presenza di altri venuti dal continente americano e asiatico: in tutti circa trecento. Dalle intense giornate di lavoro è stato esplicitamente bandito qualsiasi tono celebrativo. Pietro Braido – Don Bosco

Indubbiamente, l’ educazione cristiana ha trovato nell’opera di Don Bosco una delle espressioni più geniali. E’ vero, essa non incomincia con lui ne a lui si arresta, quasi a interpretazione totale e definitiva. Chi così pensasse dimostrerebbe di avere un’idea piuttosto povera dell’inesauribile ricchezza, anche pedagogica, racchiusa nell’immenso scrigno della verità cristiana.

The document that now reaches all confreres through this publication is subtitled “Post-Chapter reflection” and not “Chapter documents”, as has customarily been the case in the past. This is because the Chapter Assembly did not arrive at the point of final approval of the text by vote.
