L’articolo richiama gli aspetti salienti del Sistema Preventivo di don Bosco, presenta alcune categorie che potrebbero aiutare ad interpretare l’esperienza educativa attuale linee concrete che permettono di coniugare nell’oggi il suo programma educativo: formare “buoni cristiani e onesti cittadini”.
La storia dell’Istituto delle Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice è costantemente permeata dal riferimento al Fondatore san Giovanni Bosco,presupposto che garantisce la vitalità e la continuità della sua missione educativa lungo il tempo. Il ritornare con intelligenza e senso critico alle proprie radici, infatti, è un’azione imprescindibile al fine di orientare in modo saggio e coraggioso le scelte operative nel campo dell’educazione cristiana dei giovani e delle giovani.
L’Istituto delle FMA attraverso tutte le fasi del suo sviluppo ha cercato di confrontarsi continuamente con il Sistema Preventivo di don Bosco assumendolo come criterio pedagogico di azione. Infatti, questo metodo educativo vissuto da Giovanni Bosco e dai Salesiani viene accolto ed espresso al femminile da Maria Domenica Mazzarello e dalle sue prime consorelle e come tale resta lungo tutte le fasi della storia dell’Istituto quale modalità educativa e stile di vita che ha dato origine ad una vera e propria tradizione educativa al femminile. Pertanto, non è solo necessario ma è imprescindibile studiare, tematizzare, rivisitare il Sistema Preventivo non solo per renderne viva la memoria, ma per liberare il futuro incompiuto del passato.
Este aporte ha sido ofrecido con ocasión del centenario de la presencia de las Hijas de Maria Auxiliadora en Colombia. Con estas reflexiones la autora desea unirse al camino de búsqueda de nuevos avances en la calidad educativa, tanto en el campo de la escuela, como también en los demás ambientes educativos salesianos del vasto continente americano.
